Being a doctor keeps me plenty busy but that doesn’t stop me from contemplating the road not taken. I haven’t seen my ex, Jared, since the divorce was finalized but he’s been on my mind lately. Sometimes I forget why we broke up. Ah, that’s right. He said I was selfish and I told him he was too attached to his family. The Reeds are very nice but I never felt like I fit in. It’s no secret Morgan and I never clicked but I did enjoy talking to Sydney and Alicia.

Mutual friends of ours say he’s really busy with his architecture firm. There was a time when I worried about him. Things didn’t end well and I thought he’d retreat into himself. He was always so serious and kept things bottled inside. That was one of the things I found absolutely maddening about him. But I hear through the grapevine that he’s dating again. Nothing serious, but he bounced back faster than I thought he would.

I sent Jared a birthday card in The Final Play. I knew that would get his attention. I don’t like dwelling on the past but there are days when I could kick myself for letting him go. That’s why I settled in Chicago. There was no way I was going to run into him there. I’ll be seeing my ex-husband in Stranded in Paradise. I hope he’s ready to see me. We have a lot of catching up to do.
