Character Profile: Morgan Blake (The Blake Boys Series)
She had a sweet, girl-next-door look, not the model-of-the week type he’d been dating for the past two years. When she smiled, something in him warmed inside. She stopped for a moment, surveying the airport with a hopeful look on her face. Suddenly Seth didn’t feel the need to leave paradise after all.
– For the Love of the Game
Name: Morgan Reed-Blake
Occupation: Bookstore Owner
Married to: Seth Blake
Where I Live: Philadelphia, PA
There’s never a dull moment being the wife of Seth Blake, quarterback of the Philadelphia Titans and the mother of three precocious kids. It seems like a lifetime ago that I met Seth on that island. I never would have guessed that the guy showing off on the beach would end up being the love of my life. Sure he’s gorgeous and charming but he’s also kind, devoted and has a good heart. I couldn’t ask for a more loving and supportive partner. He’s with me every step of the way, even when I’m being stubborn.
Jake is my oldest and is charismatic and good-natured, just like his dad. He looks out for his twin brothers, Connor and Colby. Sometimes I give him a special treat just for being a great big brother and staying one step ahead of his twin cyclone siblings. I love my babies but I know they can be a handful. Seth says not to worry, he and his brothers were just as rambunctious when they were kids. I think he secretly gets a kick out of their antics.
The impending move to Texas full-time after his retirement is both thrilling and scary. I worry about him leaving the game but he tells me not to over think it, he has it all worked out. He’s looking forward to new opportunities and spending time with us on the ranch. Still, I get the feeling that football will be part of our lives for many years to come. Jake says he wants to play football like his dad and Uncle J.J.
When I’m not busy with Seth and the boys, you can find me at the bookstore I co-own with my best friend Michelle. I don’t know what I’d do without her. I get to do my community projects while she hosts her cooking show and spends time with Tyler. She encouraged me to give Seth a chance and I’ll always be grateful to her for talking some sense into me.
It all began in For the Love of the Game when Seth literally ran into me on the beach. I’ve done a lot of growing since then with his help. His love and patience opened my heart to all the wonderful things around me. Seth thinks he can talk me into having another little one, we’ll see about that. But I do like the idea of trying for a girl…
You’ll be seeing the entire family in Meet the Blakes and I can’t wait to catch up with you in The Final Play.
See you soon,
